Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) works to promote environmental stewardship, and protect the health & safety of SFSU faculty, staff, and students. We provide technical expertise and support through the development of EHS programs, training, and consultation.

What's new in EHS
September is Blood Borne Pathogen Training Month - Free Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Vaccinations To Be Offered.
This year in addition to the anuual required renewal training SFSU will be offering voluntary, free, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) vaccinations to employees whose job related tasks involve an inherent potential of contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues or potential for spills or splashes of these fluids.
Jobs that may be offered the vaccinations (available through Kaiser On The Job) as part of the training include: Police officers, custodians, medical, practitioners, scientists, athletic trainers, etc.
