Air quality outdoors is influenced by weather and environmental events such as wildfires and hazardous materials releases. SF State has established policies to respond to such events.

Wildfire Smoke Safety Plan

This plan, developed by Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S)  describes the procedures for responding to serious smoke content in the outdoor environment from local or regional fire events.

University Emergency Procedures

Situations that may require campus evacuations or that significantly hamper academic activities due to airborne contaminants will be handled according to campus emergency procedures managed by the Office of Emergency Services (OES).
