Training Requirements
Cal/OSHA §3221, Fire Prevention Plan (FPP), describes the regulatory requirement for employers to train employees to recognize, report, and control fire hazards.
This information is covered in the online Emergency Action Plan training course assigned to all employees.
For employees with more specific responsibilities for controlling fires and fire hazards, there is a written Facilities Services Fire Prevention Plan in place.
CY 2024 Update
Facilities Services employees were trained on the Facilities Fire Prevention Plan in CY 24.
As of the end of CY 2024, xx % of all employees assigned the EAP training completed it and are current.
