Radiation Safety Committee

PURPOSE:

The Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) is responsible for addressing matters related to radiation protection, issues of concern, and any significant changes to the Radioactive Materials (RAM) License and Radiation Producing Machine Program.

This committee has been disbanded because a change to our RAM license no longer requires it to manage the program.

MEETING SCHEDULE:

The RSC meets as needed to review the Radiation Safety Program and to consider matters needing its attention.

MEMBERSHIP:

Membership of the committee is composed of the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), the EH&S Director, and a faculty member with experience using ionizing radiation sources.

LEADERSHIP:

The Radiation Safety Committee is chaired by a faculty member and assisted by the RSO who prepares the agendas, schedules the meetings, and arranges for meeting minutes.
